for beginners
Our beginners
courses and casual
classes are designed for those who have no previous experience
of yoga and are suitable for people of all ages, and all levels
of fitness.
Learn the world's
most practised form of yoga, enjoy increased strength and flexibility
and discover the sense of health, physical well being and mental
relaxation that flow from the practice of yoga.
Each class
begins quietly with asanas (poses) to stretch and loosen the
body, followed by more energetic poses, and concludes with relaxation.

Also suitable
for students enrolled in a beginners course who wish to attend
an additional class.

Our next 10-week
Beginners courses in Iyengar Yoga start the week of Monday 19 April 2010.
A progressive
curriculum systematically introduces and consolidates 20 basic
yoga poses (asanas). The course incorporates yoga techniques
that are both beneficial and interesting to the beginning student,
as well as being a basis for the ongoing practice of yoga.

to yoga,
with experienced, qualified teachers.

Each course
runs for 10 weeks and each session is one and a half hours. Cost
for 10-week course is $155 full price, $140 concession.
